Life without eye contact

Feeling satisfied, efficient, confident.
A little shaken up, as usual-
but maybe even a little bit proud of myself.
Much like a triumphant toddler,
too proud of her fingerpainting to notice it all over the walls.

And I wanted to share.
Looked for someone to care.
To help me believe that I'm on the right track.
But then it went bad
I gave up, I got sad.
By the end I just wished I could take it all back.

You said write it.
I wrote it.
I get so frustrated with myself sometimes.
Two steps forward. Five steps back.

i just looked at your set pictures and i love the idea of using dali for midsummer's night. also the pink trees in the ballet and the way everything in the entrapment piece leans towards the center, but especially the dali because i know that play and dali is perfect for it.

sorry that this is unrelated to your post.

Oh, thanks girl!
I was a little worried that people would see them and think 'oh my god that's awful. This girl's getting a college education?'

Actually, the Dali model was one of my faves, but did not photograph as well as some of the others, and I lost a few of the scenic elements (pieces of the set) since I built it originally.
In theory, the coolest part of that design was sposed to be the way the pieces moved (slipstages in the front for the Titania's bower and Mae West, Puck's tree rising up through the floor with the actor on it).

Couldn't really convey that, tho.
